About the Organization

The American Journalism Institute (AJI) is the flagship program of the Daily Caller News Foundation, founded in 2011 and based in Washington, D.C. AJI trains and mentors the next generation of journalists – providing full-time salary and benefits – while producing investigative reporting that reaches millions through a network of licensed media partners. Alumni have gone on to careers at Fox News, CNN, The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, Reuters, and beyond.

About the Role

The American Journalism Institute is seeking is seeking applicants for a full-time, salaried reporting fellowship at one of the most-read news sites in the country.

The ideal candidate will be a strong writer with keen research skills, a knowledge and interest in political journalism, and the ability to effectively communicate complex policy. The candidate must also have excellent news judgment, with an eye for what stories will draw incredible amounts of public interest.

The fellowship is a two-year, full-time program in which reporters will learn the skills necessary to succeed in journalism through hands-on writing, researching, and attending weekly meetings and events with leaders in the nation’s capital and from around the country.

The American Journalism Institute is a 501(c)(3) non-profit that operates for the public benefit providing original investigative reporting from a team of professional reporters.

This position is project-based and limited to a 2 years-month period. This is not a permanent position.
